So begins summer. The only thing we know for sure is that it will be short. I’m planning to get on site for some sketching at a few locations, but keeping an open mind (and eyes) for whatever might come up. Yesterday, I got a chuckle from a couple farmers at the local pump house when I doubled back to ask if I could take a photo of their 1960’s GMC 940. I hope to do a proper sketch of it soon. (Edited to add sketch below.)
In the meantime, two new pieces have been added to the gallery.

The Old Farm House is a sketch of an abandoned house in central Saskatchewan. It’s done from a photograph taken by a friend. (Thanks, K!)

Christ Church West Patience Lake (Anglican) is a tiny, historic building I’ve passed countless times, driving highway 5 East from the city of Saskatoon.

These pieces are for sale. For enquiries, reach me at coldprairiestudio@outlook.com
Happy summer!
