Nature Journaling (all levels)

Nature Journaling is a practice of connecting to the landscape through writing and drawing or words, pictures, and numbers. Using our senses, empirical data, writing and sketching, there are endless possibilities for creating unique & interesting pages, in any location. A nature journal can document a garden, neighborhood birds, weather, the passage of the seasons, and much more. Workshops take participants through ideas, examples, and exercises to get started. No previous art experience needed.

This guide was a collaboration between One School One Farm, teacher Merrissa Karmark, and myself.

Art & Sketching Skills Workshops (Beginner to Intermediate; Youth/Adult)

Art workshops focusing on practical skills will help level up your art wherever you’re at, and find your unique voice/style. I am happy to build a session that meets your needs! Whether we’re working from real-life subject matter or the imagination, we’ll also focus on art fundamentals for both a practical and creative experience.

Art Supplies & Media

Media used in workshops is flexible. Bring your own, or I can advise on supplies and/or provide supplies or field kits for participants. Please contact for details.
